BIOL 596 - General Parasitology
Resources for BIOL 596 - General Parasitology
Searching for information in parasitology presents several challanges. While human parasitic diseases have a major impact on the public health of developing countries, they are exotic and rare in the United States. With a definite American and European bias in medical research, articles on "tropical diseases" are not common and tend to be written in non-English languages. And it is only in recent years that researchers have begun to recognize parasitism as an ecological force affecting all species, not merely humans and their domesticated animals.
